[5.023] HTTP Proxy Performance Degradation

Has anyone else noticed a pretty significant HTTP Proxy slowdown after the .023 Up2date? I am running the transparent proxy with AV and SP, and in two different installs I have noticed this. I turn off the proxy and it is a night and day difference in speed. Also, on one of the installs I had to reboot the firewall because all non-proxied inbound and outbound traffic was getting dropped and logged by the PF. After the reboot all was OK except for the slow web access through the proxy.

update - It is apparently the SP causing the slowdown. I turned off the VP and it was still slow...I turned off the SP all together while leaving the proxy turned on and the speed was back to how it should be. I did not notice anything odd in the logs.

    could you share the address of the mail interface (just so that we can reproduce the effect). we don't need a login, just the location so that we can see the page which is slow...

    We had this issue some time ago. Do you remember.
    What does ASTARO do? Don´t they test the updates ...
    It would be nice to get some information from ASTARO.

    All of us having this issue, are we all using the transparent proxy ? I installed ASL with VP for a friend over the weekend. I also put the rpoxy in transparent mode and oddly enough, it worked perfectly. I am so puzzled I am thinking of reinstalling 5.022 then upgrading to 5.023 to restore my backup...

    I just reconfigured the proxy to use Authentication. It seems to be faster. This is just a workaround but not a solution. 

    Astaro, would you please so kind and confirm this issue.

    As I had  mentionned, I reinstalled today my ASL. I used the 5.022 iso, restored my license, updated to 5.023 and then restored a backup of my config. Guess what ??? It works. With my proxy in transparent mode with SP actived I finally get decent speeds.... Hope that helps. BTW, before backing up the config I had disabled the proxy. I only enabled it after restoring...

    Yes I am on 5.023 with no degradation. I have no real explanation. I suspect that the fact that my box was a 5.00 that went through all the upgrades might play a role. Maybe coming direct from 5.022  and upgrading did the trick...

    I´m wondering why there isn´t any new issue in the KNOWN Issue list ....
    Is ASTARO too busy to say a word on it? It´s boring me to disable my HTTP Proxy cause having speed like a 33.6 modem instead of 2Mbit!.

    Hope for an update the next days.

    This is a major problem with us as well. I run http proxy with surf control and virus protection and we only have 3 computers hooked up to cable modem and we feel that we have gone back to dial - up 56k days. 

    Noticed when I changed the http proxy mode from transparent to user authentication or standard it sped up the http requests. This is not such a big problem with my network as I only need to change my browser settings for 3 computers. But for major organizations that have a couple hundred computers this is a major problem. 

    Does anybody at astaro care about this? No one from astaro support has answered on this thread except Valkasin and he is only interested in helping office defender's problem. I know I don't have support from astaro but come on guys, you put out the update 5.023 and everybody is complain about the degredation http traffic. Yet none of you have bothered to respond! I think this is very poor. I love your product its the best out there. I just wish you guys would respond to our query.
