[5.023] HTTP Proxy Performance Degradation

Has anyone else noticed a pretty significant HTTP Proxy slowdown after the .023 Up2date? I am running the transparent proxy with AV and SP, and in two different installs I have noticed this. I turn off the proxy and it is a night and day difference in speed. Also, on one of the installs I had to reboot the firewall because all non-proxied inbound and outbound traffic was getting dropped and logged by the PF. After the reboot all was OK except for the slow web access through the proxy.

update - It is apparently the SP causing the slowdown. I turned off the VP and it was still slow...I turned off the SP all together while leaving the proxy turned on and the speed was back to how it should be. I did not notice anything odd in the logs.

    yapp, same here. Using http proxy with VP and have got complains from our user about 'internet is very slow" after last upgrade.

    Me three!! HTTP proxy performance degraded after .023. Proxy  passwords for local authentication disappeared for some users. Had to reenter 5 or 6 times to get them to authenticate again. Users on dedicated 56K WAN links do not even get password promt, just a white screen while the browser just cranks and cranks, but goes no where. Had to move 56K users back to V4 box still running in parallel with V5 box.
    Same Proxy issues with Dell 2.8 Ghz cpu, 1G ram, 150 users as well as 500Mhz PIII, 384 MB ram, home full licensed box.

       i think so, too.
    and what about the service restarts? thiss issue isn't listed on the list and seems that astaro isn't interessted to give us an answer about this - i have daily downtimes because of v5 last up2dates, and others on this forum, too. 
     it seems that the software becomes after the up2dates more buggy than stable. hope astaro takes this in mind when planing v6.

    I just wanted to make sure it was not just me running into this. Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure the Astaro team is working on it.

    Would be nice to get  a statement from astaro.

    Strange is that inspite of the slow connections, my CPU-load has gone down from 5min average=0.6 (5022) to now 0.2. Also memory using has gone down from appr. 900mb to now 300mb.
    Has anyone the same experience?

    I'm having a somewhat simular but odd problem.  right around 11am one of the schools running 5.023 needs to have the http proxy reset daily or they can't get out right around the times between 10:50am & 11:15am EST, and oddly enough right around 2am.  At this time the hardware reporting shows a spike in CPU upto 1.64/1.26 "1min/5min" with the middleware emailing me saying it's resetting hyperdyper.

    This is with the cobion filter running, without virus scanning & on the following hardware config.

    P4 1.7ghz
    Kingston 2x512 ddr 266 modules
    3 10/100 3com 3c905c Nics

    Yep ... me too

    We had this issue some time ago. Do you remember.
    What does ASTARO do? Don´t they test the updates ...
    It would be nice to get some information from ASTARO.
