Unable To Ping Hostname On LAN

Did you check your Settings in Network Protection > Firewall > ICMP?

Yes. I have both Allow ICMP On and Allow ICMP Through checked plus I also added a firewall rule:

VPN (SSL) > ping, trace, dns > LAN : Allow

Do you have your domain set as a dns prefix in the DOMAIN field of your internal LAN DHCP server? Also, is the same domain set in Remote Access / Advanced / Client Options / Domain Name? 

I had to do both manually because a domain was not specified in my original setup. I also set the internal LAN DNS servers (win 2012 server + UTM) under Remote Access / Advanced / Client Options / DNS servers #1 & #2. Plus, I also specified the hostname + domain in the DNS HOSTNAMES of my local LAN static DHCP hosts. I'm not sure if this last step is required or not, I just needed to create static DHCP asssingments for my situation. 

With all of that, I can ping internal LAN hostnames (host1, host2, etc.) from my remote host over SSL VPN and it resolves ok.

No domain for this client. And the DHCP and DNS servers are all hosted by the UTM

Have you tried to create a static DNS entry for one of the LAN hosts and seeing if it resolves from the VPN? The UTM as your DNS server may not know who the LAN clients are without the static assignments.

I did and included reverse DNS as well with no luck

Is the "Automatic Firewall rules" box checked in the SSL VPN remote access profile? Maybe try that setting enabled instead of the manually created firewall rule.

Yes. That box is checked as well

"No domain for this client." - If there's no domain, then you only will be able to ping by Host name from WebAdmin.  Is that the issue?

No. I need to be able to connect to the hostname through the VPN (from the remote end). I figured putting the hostname in the DNS of the UTM would help, but no good
