DNS Problem with iOS7.0.x only

Hi,

not sure if anyone else has seen this but I´ve got no response from the people at openvpn.
Maybe someone here has come across this.
We are running a Astaro/Sophos UTM 9 at one location and all iOS Users having the same problem: they cannot acquire DNS information for servers on our intranet.
The connection is fine and as long as I am using IP-Numbers all is good. The moment I start using FQDNs, Safari/Google Chrome for example, both browsers tell me that the site is not available.
My users on Windows 7, Android and Mac OS X do not seem to suffer from this situation - which I can confirm because I tested with all OSs myself.
I can see the IPs of the DNS-Servers in the logfile of the openvpn client.
But thats it then.

Any ideas?

I see no such problem with iOS6 on my iPhone5 (everyone knows that I'm a luddite when it comes to upgrading[;)]). This wouldn't be the first time Apple changed something in iOS that broke non-Apple devices.

Oh yeah, I very much share your suspicion. But I since I am a legit developer and had all the betas on my ios devices it could have happened earlier to me. As it seems I am pretty much alone in the moment experiencing this phenomenon. Still no reply at the openvpn forums and I have that taken to the apple dev forum.
