Alternative SSL-VPN-Clients? (NOT Sophos)

AFAIK, the Sophos SSL-VPN-Client has problems under Windows 7 to set routes reliably after sucessfully establishing the VPN-connection with the VPN-Gateway (tested with Sophos UTM9-Gateway in January or February). 
AFAIK, this problem does not occur if the user has admin-rights on his workstation.

I've seen this bug since (approx.) 2009, under Windows XP. Later, my colleagues (IT-department) suffered from this bug under Windows 7.

The version of the Sophos SSL-VPN-client from the beginning of this year caused blue screens on my WinXP-Laptop (no admin rights).

I'm giving up on this piece of software. Which other SSL-VPN-client would you recommend?

    SSL VPN is based on OpenVPN, so you can basically use every OpenVPN Client. But afaik they all (also the Sophos Client) base on the native OpenVPN Client.

    I've seen no issues with the Sophos SSL VPN Client since Version 9 came out, they fixed the SSL VPN client issue.  Try running 9.104.

    are your users running Win7 without local admin rights?

    I have about 40 customers on 9.1xx, and I'm pretty sure at least a few of them are running in this manner.

    We're running 9.1xx and we have users that are not local admins and have a Win7 laptop that succesfully use the Sophos SSL client.
    Installation of the client is done by administrator once, after that normal user can use it. Maybe you need to add some rights to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos SSL VPN Client\log folder so the user can actually write logfiles....

    I've never had any trouble with the SSL client on Windows. However, we use the Viscosity VPN client on OS X and it works really well. I presume the Windows version is good too.

    Hi jpwjpw,

    The viscosity is not a free solution like the OpenVpn used by Sophos.
    If we are talking about pay programs there are lots of others .
    The solution provided by Sophos is free , and if you have lots of  users then you don't want to start paying for all those users.

    Hi ,

    There is a new release of OpenVpn client that can be download and used instead of using the Sophos client.
    This release fixes few bugs in windows.
    All needed is to download it and then download only the config from the user portal and put it on the config folder of the OpenVpn client.
    The latest release of the OpenVpn client is:
    2.3.2-1003.

    Hi ,

    I found the best OpenVpn that works with the imported config downloaded from the UTM.
    It is working perfectly in windows 7 , 8 , 8.1 even in x64 of those versions.
    You can also install few TAP adapters and connect multiple sites simultaneity .
    It is working all the time .
    Really recommend.
    Just uninstall the Sophos SSL VPN client , go to the user portal and download only the config files.
    Then go to the OpenVpn Active projects and download it .
    Then install and in the great GUI just import the configuration file.
    You can also save the credentials and only press connect.
    It is based on the OpenVpn project but has a way better GUI then the OpenVpn itself.
