Linux Client for VPN

I have an Ubuntu desktop client that I would like to make an L2TP/IPSEC Tunnel connection from.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to make it work.

When I do a "Cisco Compatible" vpn setup, it needs a group name.  When I use OpenVPN, it wants user, ca, and private key certs.

Has anyone else configured a linux desktop as a VPN client to ASG?

    Hi, I use the OpenSSL VPN settings in Astaro, download the config file from the End User Portal, and run the openssl client in Fedora.
    Unzip the config files into /etc/openvpn on your Linux pc.
