L2TP over IPSec - cant connect to local network

Hello Forum,

I´ve tried using the searchengine, but can´t really find an answer to my question. Hope someone here can help. I´ve configured a L2TP over IPSec Connection in ASG V7. I´ve used the HowTo in the Knowledgebase.

The connection itself gets established and I´m able to ping the external Network Interface, but can´t reach a server or PC on the private site. My private IPs are 192.168.10.x and the VPN IP from the pool is 192.168.1.x.

I´ve configured a NAT Rule and also a Rule for the Packetfilter, but it does not work.

Someone got an Idea?

If you can nail up the connection, it almost has to be a filter rule issue. I had something similar happen with a Site to Site VPN.
Did you try setting up a gateway route to the other end of the vpn tunnel?

Hi,

I´ve solved the problem by myself. For people in the future with same problem, try check this. If you can establish the connection via vpn, check the client settings. For me, I´m using MACBook, it was a setting in the "VPN Network Config". The Option is named "Put all traffic through VPN Tunnel" or something similar. That did the trick.....
