Client-to-Site with ASC without virtual IP ?

I am currently testing Client-to-Site VPN with ASC

ASG220, Version 6.103
ASC Version 8.2

Problem:
I can establish a connection using a virtual IP address in IPSec VPN >> Remote Keys (ASG220) and in the ASC.
I don't get any connection when trying to work without virtual IP.

Reason for the tests: I try to setup a client-to-site VPN with Safenet SoftRemote LT and there I cannot assign a virtual IP (or haven't found a way to do so).

Has anyone any ideas ?

    By Netscreen you have first to enable the vitual IP.
    Go to "Options – Global Policy Settings" and enable -->
    "Allow to Specify Internal Network Address"
    Then go to the section "My Identity" and change the setting
    "Virtual Adapter" to required and enter your virtual IP.
    I tested this with version 10.x

    I prefer the Astaro client! You can export the configuration from your Firewall and any settings are set - it works very good for me and the rollout for the clients is very easy and fast - also for troubleshooting :-)

    Hi medic,

    your hint was right. I found that.
    Now I am only one step further for I have 4  PCs where it woks and the customers Notebook where it doesn't.
    The customers notebook has a "swisscom mobile unlimited" card that seems to make the difference.
    If I set the virtual IP to preferred I get a connection (but with always a different IP (and never the one I want), if I set to "required" I do not get a connection.

    Deinstallation of safenet and installing the ASC makes the "swisscom mobile unlimited" card unable to start......
    So up to now I am bound to the safenet client....

    Thanks to hint from Infinigate Switzerland here the solution:
    - Install Swisscom Unlimited Data Manager
    - reboot
    - Install/configure ASC
    - reboot
    - Deinstall Sesam Network-client in Astaro Virtual Adapter
    - reboot
    Now ASC should work!

    Both softwares do run with this way to install.
    Unfortunately with the extact same configuration I have in the profiles that did run with different internet connections I get now problems in  IKE phase 1 .
    Still some clue must be missing....

    My IKE Phase 1 errors were due to timeouts and also check your manually assigned IP address matches on the Astaro.

    Hi chrismoo,

    how do I find out abaout those timeouts ? 
    The manually assigned IP should be okay, I did not change the ASC-Profile configuration.
    Or do I miss something here ?
