IP Telephony (VoiP)

I am looking at building a VPN across a few branch offices using Astaro...

does the QoS component of ASL allow you to prioritize the IP phone packets as "most important"???

This is a key consideration for routing IP phone calls from location-to-location...

  • the way QoS or traffic shaping works is, you can apply 3 different priopities to certain traffic based on SRC, DST and service for non-VPN outbound traffic... what i'm saying is yes, but for outbound only.
