Can't connect from outsitde my external network

I'm on version 3.X and I can connect from an IP in my external subnet (the one on my outside nic) and my lan but I can't connect from any other IP's. The error is "The computer you dialed did not respond within a reasonable amount of time". I have a good fast connection there. Here are the rules I have setup:

1Any Any Any Allow
2PPTP-Pool Any { Private Networks - RFC1918 } Allow
3Public Network Any PPTP-Pool Allow

Do I need another one?

I'm just using it for a VPN. Any ideas to fix my problem? What rules should I use for this?

Welcome to the TCP/IP basics ; Just play with the netmask...

Here is a suggestion for your PPTP-Pool :

Network 10.0.1.32/27 (this is a netmask of 255.255.255.224)

This will give you 30 ip addresses from 10.0.1.33 to 10.0.1.62 for your PPTP-Pool.

Well I figured it out.
I changed my internal IP to 10.0.1.1 so I wasn't behind the existing firewall. Then I set the PPTP-Pool IP addres to 10.0.1.0. The problem now is when I use the in Defenitions > Users, it assigns IP's starting at .4 which is in use. Is there a way to assign PPTP-Pool to a range of IP's ?
