Endpoint update through UTM has completely stopped working today

I have seen this problem off and on for several months. Sophos support wants SSH admin access to all my production servers?

The problem is with their update servers, you can take the link from the client install and it doesn't work no matter where you try to access. As soon as the client link starts working again the updates will work but only for new or reinstalled Endpoint clients.

Darrell, If you mean SSH access to your UTMs, then yes, they are troubleshooting something and they need to take a look.  If you mean SSH access to Sophos Enduser Protection (Sophos Enterprise Security Console) resources on Windows servers, then you need to post in the https://community.sophos.com forums.  You used the words "production servers" and thus the confusion.

I was referring to the UTM Hardware and Software Appliances, never thought about someone confusing access by SSH to any endpoint protected machine since the Endpoint is usually Windows and does not natively have SSH installed.

This post is to respond to the original thread creator.

1. My 150 UTM Endpoint clients stopped working.
2. Sophos support did troubleshooting for months on my local UTMs without any resolution.
3. Sophos Support said they discovered a problem with a server in the Sophos Datacenter that delivered signatures and that server was repaired.
4. My Endpoints had to be reinstalled one by one in order to start receiving signatures again which they finally did.
5. During the time of no Endpoint receiving signatures the install link provided by the UTM Deploy Agent tab stopped working. It didn't matter what network you tried do download the UTM provided link from, I even tried from my iPhone, the link did not work.
6. When the UTM provided client install link started working again so did the signatures.
7. Everything worked for a few months but now I am having problems again and am seriously thinking of going to another Endpoint Protection software after all the problems I have had. I do not have time to reinstall 150 clients every few months.
