No update path for UTM Endpoint Clients

Hi,

I installed the Endpoint Protection Client. The Client shows up in the UTM 9 as "Online", so this is working so far.
But on the client where Endpoint is installed, i can't download updates due to there is noch given update path. Wether primary nor secondary path.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
lenny [:)]

  • Sometimes that seems to happen.
    Try the following:

    • Uninstall Endpoint Protection (all 3 components)
    • Reboot your PC
    • Delete the folder "Sophos" under c:\ProgramData (Windows Vista/7) or c:\Program Files (Windows XP).
If you can't delete the folder, do another reboot.
    • Reset the Registration Token in WebAdmin (Advanced section of Endpoint Protection)
    • Download the Full Installer again.
Don't alter the file name in any way!
    • Now install again.

    Does it work now?
If not: Are you using Web Protection?

    Private Setup:

    • XG: HPE DL20 Gen9 (Core i3-7300, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD) | XG 18.0 (Home License) with: Web Protection, Site-to-Site-VPN (IPSec, RED-Tunnel), Remote Access (SSL, HTML5)
    • UTM: 2 vCPUs, 2GB RAM, 50GB vHDD, 2 vNICs on vServer (KVM) | UTM 9.7 (Home License) with: Email Protection, Webserver Protection, RED-Tunnel (server)
  • Hi,

yes I did that already, saw it on another post of yours [:)]
I'm using web protection, but I got an exeption for Sophos Live Connect. At least the client is coming up in the Management view.

    Thanks for your help.
  • Web Protection in Transparent or Standard mode?

  • EP Client does ignore Proxy settings at the moment.

So please create a firewall rule:
    Allow
Internal (Network) -> Any -> Sophos Live Connect.

Sophos Live Connect is a predefined Network Object (DNS Group) resolving to all.broker.sophos.com. If it doesn't exist, create it.

Edit: You will have to reinstall the Client afterwards like mentioned above.
Check the firewall log for any Drops while installing.
