cannot connect to iCloud SMTP server

I opened port 587 which is supposed to be open according to iCloud settings. All email seems to be working in Apple Mail client, with the exception of outgoing mail from my main @mac email account. Gmail accounts work fine. I look at the firewall logs and it shows that it is blocking TCP traffic from my computer to an IP:587. I'm not sure what is stopping this traffic from getting through. I'm very new to Sophos, and I looked over the Rulz and did not help in solving my problem.

  • Here's a line from the log file. As I said I'm pretty new to this so not sure what it all means.
