UTM sometimes slow down.

Hi,

I'm deploy UTM Sophos on Vmware Esxi, using full transparent mode. The thing is sometimes, users connect to web very slowly. At that time, the WebAdmin is slow also. But if I ping UTM or ping 8.8.8.8, the speed is still good. 

But the more strange thing is that after I reset the UTM, the problem still happen. And after a period of time, everything is good again. Good status often last for about 2,3 days, and then the issue come. 

I also tried installing UTM on another server, but seems not work. 
Please give me some advice. Thank you so much.

    how much of the total ghz have you allocated to the vm?  500-600 users?  you should have a paid license.  have yhou contacted support/your reseller?


    There's not any Ghz option on Vmware, I can just allocate 4 core for CPU. 
    My manager intend to buy the license, but he won't do it until we get a good result of testing.

    Could you suggest how much performance of the server we should have to run it smoothly? I'm new with this device, so I really need your help. Thank you so much for your consideration.

    I am researching vmware as you used to be able to assign gigahertz two of the M cool. If VMware has taken that option away than they are really no different than microphones hyper V and I find that hard to believe

    I have installed vmware 6 and you can specify the amount of ghz you allocate to each vcpu.  This means you can run a single vcpu and dump all ghz of a multicore processor onto that vm.  You can do it either at the time of vm creation or afterwards...you can also setup a resource pool with ghz sharing as well just like you could from v4 all the way up to 6.
