How to ALLOW a game through? (Sophos home)

Hey guys,

So I've been setting up my UTM 9.2, and there is only one item I cannot seem to get working.

I cannot get Clash of Clans to load on any device while on my home network.

There seems to be the following information which is all related to the game:

URL:
game.clashofclans.com
service.supercell.net

Ports:
9339 and 80

Could someone show me (or describe step by step) how to allow these above URL/ports to actually allow my internal network devices access to the game.

Any suggestions/recommendations are welcome!

    You Guys have checked the "old-friends" Masq Rules, DNS and Firewall ??
    The Firewall-log should show blocked traffic.

    I have the same issue.  You mention masq rules.  Can you clarify how the rule should be set up?  Right now I have wirelessnetwork is masqueraded to the WAN interface, using the primary address.

    On an Ipad or Android device, this works great for web browsing.  But it does not allow any apps such as Clash Of Clans, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc to work.

    Our Masq Rule for the Wireless is also Uplink Interfaces - with Primary Address Which is the same Masq rule we use for basically all our networks and we have no problems with any other applications.  I tried setting to a specific Providers Interface (we have 3 providers) but it didn't help.

    It's definitely NOT being blocked in the firewall, if I tell it to log the wireless traffic I can see it passing and nothing being blocked. We have a simple Any services - Any Destination rule for that wireless network so it would not make sense to be caught in the Firewall.

    It's not being blocked by "advanced Threat Protection" as that's not on

    It's not being blocked by "intrusion prevention even" as that's not on either.

    Country blocking is not on either

    The wireless setup is pretty simple, Client traffic is Separate Zone, Client isolation is on, Hide SSD off, Fast Transition Disabled

    Ok I enabled application control, and allowed all applications.  Now everything works that I've tested except Clash Of Clans.  I'm not that worried if people can't play games, but I'd like to figure this out.

    Ok I'm in the exact same boat.  All filters and application controls are turned off.  Wireless network is allowed any/any.  All apps work, all browsing works.  But Clash of Clans does not.  I see a successful initial connection to the Clash server, and then nothing.  No blocks, no allows, nothing.  Weird.

    Our application Control is not on.  It's not a huge deal with us either it's more of a nagging mystery a few of us in IT noticed.  I can't tell if it related to the Wireless Network (since we use Sophos access points) or related to the firewall itself.   Since these devices can't plug directly into a network to test without the wireless it's not easy to rule out either.

    Again same boat.  I can't plug the ipad into the network to test.  I did find one other application that won't work...Ookla SpeedTest.  I can't even browse to Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test.

    You are right my OOkla speedtest doesn't work either just sits there on Finding the best server.. Hmmmm

    At least I know I'm not crazy.  Someone else has the exact same issue.  Flash related?  Maybe DNS related?  Are you using Google public DNS?  Im just pulling at straws here now..

    @despich quick update:  I hooked up a Windows laptop to the wireless network, and don't seem to have any problems.  I can browse to Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test without any problems.  But on the same wireless network from an android or IOS device, I am unable to browse to that web site.  Not sure what that means....
