Thanks Bob! i don't even know where to start. I've configured port forwarding with regular wireless routers and port forwarding with other firewalls using a live ip but never on Sophos.

Hi mexim, 

Start with a new DNAT rule which forwards DVR port from your public interface address to the IP address of the device.
Try to access device from the outside using your public IP address, if it works you can later register a DynDNS name and configure UTM for DynDNS updating.

Thanks viilic. Does this mean i have need a public/live/static ip to get this done?

Yes, you need public IP but it doesn't have to be static, it could be dynamic (reason for using DynDns service).
Also necessary port (in my example 25001), must be opened by your ISP....check that also.

How do i configure the UTM for Dyn DNS updating please?

Hi mexim, here is the quick guide:

• Choose a free Dynamic DNS provider company which is supported by Sophos UTM (I myself always use no-ip.com).
  
• Sign Up with a new account there (username/password combination).
  
• Click on "Add a host", and choose your preferred host and domain name, put any IP address in the field. In my scrshot example I've chosen utm.servebeer.com (sorry, but it is now reserved...[:)]).
  
• On UTM Webadmin page go to Network services -> DNS -> DynDNS, and create a new DynDNS object choosing No-IP from the list and entering your hostname and user credentials.

I keep getting the error "The NAT rule object cannot use any address objects for the traffic destination attribute when using this NAT mode" . What am i doing wrong please?

Going to: External (WAN) (Address).

And please fill in "Using Service" with the appropriate service definition (e.g. "HTTP"), not "any".
