Unable to Connect FTP Server

Hi Im new to this forum, I have an ASG 120, which i have configured recently to allow all FTP traffic. The FTP Proxy is disabled. I am able to FTP to many servers without any hassle. I am getting "Connection Timed out, could not connect to server" for this particular FTP server : 217.168.20.10

If i bypass the astaro unit, my system is able to connect to FTP to this server.

Please help me on this.

    Hi, Gigi, and welcome to the User BB!

    On the Firewall 'Advanced' tab, is the FTP connection tracking helper enabled?  If that doesn't resolve your issue, please post the lines from the Firewall log file (not the live log) where that IP is found.

    sorry to barge in but I'm also having this issue. FTP connection tracking helper is enabled. I also enabled Log FTP Data Connections.
    looking at the packet filter log it shows green when accessing the FTP site but the connection is still reset?
    I'm running a ASG 220 with 8.103 software

    What if you modify the Firewall rule #14 to also allow port 20?

    Also, do you have the 'Connection tracking helper' for FTP selected on the 'Advanced' tab of 'Network Security >> Firewall'?

    Hi there,
    tired to modify rule 14 and added port 20 but still doesn't work.
    Also, I have the Connection tracking helper selected already.

    I'm in contact with Astaro support and they are suggesting updating to the latest version 8.30X. Will keep you posted.
