QOS setting

I would like to turn on QOS but do not know what interface to enable. Do I enable the external (WAN) interface of the internal (LAN) interface?

    Just to make sure that the test doesn't trick you - try to download a big file.
    Once with and once without QOS, and check the time.
    Also try another test site.
    PS have you checked "Bandwidth Pools" ( "External" )?
