Hello,
Today I installed my new firewall appliance (home made). It drops many bad packets, that is good to see. But it also drops good packets.
The problem.
I have buyed an expensive SIP Phone (Siemens Gigaset IP), to make calls with my VoIP provider. This worked until I installed Astaro.
Here is a link to what ports to be need allowed.
Read a lot on the forum about Service -> Network and SIP Helpers. I can't fond it nowhere, though. That's about version 7, I am running 8.
I went to Definitions - Services, and created a new 12VoIP group, allowing all the ports they ask.
Then I went to VoIP. I allowed the WAN network in the SIP Server networks and the LAN in the SIP client networks.
I am trying to call again. The good sounds of three very short beeps, but it keeps studiously silent on the other side of the line. No response at all.
With my old router, this worked like a charm.
It should be nice if I could fix this before tomorrow, can anyone help me out?
Thanks! [:)]
BTW: When I open the live packet log during a call, the PC crashes allmost for the many packet drops...
