eMule only gets Low ID

Looks like there hasn't been a thread for eDonkey/eMule in quite some time so I thought I'd start one for ASG V7.505.

I have tried so many hundreds of setups but no matter what I do, I only get lowIDs. My current setup is:

eMule TCP 
Protocol: TCP
Source: 1:65535
Destination: 9662

DNAT
Source: Any
Destination: External WAN Address
Service eMule TCP
Destination Translation: myemulepc

Packet Filter
Source: any
Service: eMule TCP
Destination: myemulepc
Action: allow

EDIT: I did this for the UDP port as well as the TCP port. Exact same settings with service definition "eMule UDP"

I have even tried packet filters with 
any>any>myemulepc

and Full NAT with any service to myemulepc.

Still the packet capture shows a returned message from the server stating "port 9662 is not reachable. please check your network config" then switches to lowID.

Any ideas? 

I have also turned off Intrusion Protection for now until I get this working.

    Might be stupid, but did you add an exception to your windows firewall (or other software firewall you might beusing?)

    Also: Did you check your intrusion Prevention Log? Maybe you can find anything there?

    Turned off Windows Firewall. No other firewall installed. 
    And there was only a very few number of blocked port scans. I mean like 2-3 in a 10 hour span.

    When I used emule a few years ago, it needed both tcp and udp ports. Create packet filters for udp also. Look in your emule connection settings and it shows you the TCP and UDP ports. Open them accordingly.

    I forgot to put that in the OP, thanks. I have set for both the UDP and TCP ports that the program uses.

    Also note that you will probably need a PortScan exception for the eMule PC.

    haha I've been reading that post for a few days Barry. As far as I can tell, I have everything except for the QOS set up the same way. Is the QOS really important? I know for a fact bandwidth is not an issue on my line.

    When you say port scan exception, is that due to the number of ports that eMule tends to use? Because that would make sense. I've set one port in my eMule client but I am consistently getting connections and downloads over many other ports.

    EDIT: Just realized I already had all exceptions through the Intrusion Prevention set up for the network myemulepc is on. I have no IP attacks logged for that pc anymore.

    No, the QOS isn't important if you don't have a VOIP phone or other critical services.

    Yes, eMule connects to a lot of other computers very quickly, which can trigger the port scan detection.

    You might also want to change the ports you use for eMule (instead of 9662) as some ISPs try to block.
