VoIP Security

Hell,
i have some questions about understanding voip security on the topic of astarao gateway v7.501.

I made the following attitudes :
VoIP Security - SIP
- SIP Server ( my sip Provider ) sipgate.de
- SIP Client ( my internal test network )

Network Security
Packet Filter
STUN Server of my sip Provider ( sipgate.de ) port 10000

and thats it

so after enable voip security, i saw in my log connection to the stun server (successfull) but nothing about rtp sessions to sip provider, so i think, there was made some implide rules by astaro gateway itselft..thtas right ?
next step, i disabled voip security...and now i saw connections to my sip provider on port udp/5060

hmm now my question...wat did i wrong...?

I am not sure, which also must be configured on the gateway and which must still supplement mine client.

Hi, it might be better to set the SIP client to the actual device instead of your LAN.

Is your phone working with VOIP Security off? If not, you should make sure you have Masquerading set up.

HI All,

the VoIP Security module only monitors pure SIP.

If you encapsulate it into a STUN tunnel than we can't see and track it.
But if it works, it's also not needed.
