Webadmin remote access

Hi, 

I am using ASG 7.***

I want to access remote the Webadmin console.

What have I done:
DNAT Rule.
Traffic Source: Any
Traffic Service: webadmin
Traffic Destination: external-ip
NAT Mode: DNAT
Destination: internal-ip
Destination Service: webadmin

Then created packet filter:
Allow Any->webadmin->internal_ip

I tried to connect from work to https://:4444 but will not connect.

Internal network is allowed for webadmin in management interface (dashboard) 

What went wrong or what did I forgot?

    You can do this the simple way.
    There is no need to make the Webadmin interface available on the external network. Having it available to the Internal net only will work fine.
    When you wish to access it from outside, simply open a VPN connection first, and then browse to Webadmin.

    OR, you can do this....

    Goto "management -->web admin settings -->access control"

    Under access control, add the WAN interface to the "allowed Networks" list, mine is set to "ANY" (this way I can access the web interface from both the WAN and LAN sides).

    No additional rules or routing needed.

    Create a NETWORK range or HOST for your EXTERNAL connections (ie home IP range) then set allowed networks to be INTERNAL and EXTERNAL Network / Host that way ONLY your external IP can open WEBADMIN !"

    Here's what I tried that seems to work.  It may be the same thing as what was said in the previous post, not sure.  

    I have astaro v7.002 at home and I want to access webadmin from work. In astaro I created a new Network Definition with my work IP and Type=Host.  Then in Management > Webadmin Settings > Access Control > Allowed networks > I added the new definition I just created.

    I assume this is only allowing access from my work IP to Webadmin.

    As above (velvetfog) you can also created a vpn connection.

    Yes that is correct, make sure you have JUST INternal NETWORK, PPTP Pool (i.e VPN networks) , EXTERNAL HOST IP in your allowed NETWORKS for WEBADMIN.
