QOS on dual uplink and/or internal interface

Hi All,

Seen much debate on QOS 

- can only use it on External i/f
- does not work for outbound traffic
- works/does not work

It has done exactly what it said on the tin in the couple of implementations where I have used this. 

Any quick reasons why 

1. External vs. Internal: only QOS on the external interface?  Is it a user confusion issue or a software confusion issue please?

2. Number of interfaces: 
    a) Does QOS only work on one interface?  
    b) What about a dual uplinks? 
    c) Dual uplinks with different BW?

3. Can all data streams through the firewall be controlled at point of entry using QOS with QOS switched on on all interfaces?

So could I use my internal "downlink" QOS to strangle uplinking BitTorrent traffic to 128k which is half of my uplink available.  Is this practical?

    HOw do you ahve QOS setup so that it works?  I would love to give it a shot.
