QoS how to?

i run ASL version 5.202 and the use of QoS or more better named port prioritizing is quite unclear on how to be setup. i have turned QoS on on my internet link (external) and done speed settings and setup some packet filter rules but have yet to see anything happen much. help?

it's not unclear.
it's quite simple:
enable qos on external nic:
specify your bandwidth.
and then say in packet filter rules: allow low priority or allow or allow high priority.
that's it!

i thought thats how it was done just didnt seem to work too well when i first tryed, seems to be running ok now though.
