snort updates

the current ruleset delivered by Astaro is still up to date.
Concerning the rules from the Snort project: they are written to a TGZ archive every day automatically. This means that the timestamp changes every day. However, this does not mean that the rules themselves have actually changed.

how can i see wich ips-rule is changed and in wich state will it be inserted into the ips-rulebase

You will find the changes of the new ruleset in an e-mail that is being sent to you when the new rules are applied.

are you shure about the eMail, i got updates but never an eMail.

Make sure that the administrator's e-mail address is given under "System->Settings".

Ok,
today i got an email and there was real an attachment with all changes and this time my virusscanner (not in asl) dont takes the attachement away
