V4 - Making it work

New install of V4 (V3 was working fine) Two interfaces whihc both work. Astaro can see the outside world and can update. Inside lan cannot access outside world. Switch on HTTP proxy then full access is able. Any clues?

What do you mean precisely when you say the inside LAN can't see the outside ? Can you ping external addresses at all ? Ensure ICMP Ping is allowed.
Or are you just talking web ?

At present there is no access to the outside world in any protocol. POP, SMTP, WEB. Web is funtional only when the http proxy is enabled. I may be missing something simple. Both interfaces functional, enabled a packet filter for any in both directions. Nothing works..

If you have nonroutable IPs (private 192.168.y.x) in your LAN, you have to masquerade your LAN to your external interface.

I was under the impression that the base install performed all routing once the internal and external interfaces where allocated and the packet filter. What is missing therefore is a define route?
