Optimal Firewall

First of all hi to all!

We're buying new firewall for the company and in that manner I would like to get some info and help from you aswell.

The needs that should be met for our company are the following:
  - Good security for our web server
  - Good logs made by firewall (we have really   
    bad logging function with current firewall- 
    3com office connect)
  - VPN connections

So I would like to ask you if you can serve me with some of your own experience with the firewalls. Furthermore I would like to ask you, if
possible, if you can show an example of log file from your firewall (one line would be enough).

If I didn't gave enough specification feel free to ask for more.
