Geting Terminal Services to work with Netopia router

I have Terminal Services (admin mode) installed on a Win2k server. A Netopia R910 router is plugged into the network and connected to an ADSL modem. The router has the basic firewall set enabled. I added a UDP and TCP port 3389 input filter to my list of filters in the basic firewall settings but I still can not terminal serve into this network. Am I overlooking something?

Hi Sam,

does the Netopia connect to ASL with IPsec VPN? If so, this shouldn't be a problem at all...

No, not using VPN. Terminal Serve straight to the IP address.

You also need to setup a port map on the netopia under NAT - Show Change Server List
User service other and set the port to 3389

Private IP the internal servers ip
Public is your WAN IF IP
