Message from firewall about No PSD-WATCH running

I am getting the following e-mail from the firewall some time after a restart.  What is PSD-Watch and does it have any impact on e-mail?

Subject:
  SelfMonitoring: No PSD-WATCH running(1 times)

Body:
No psd-watch running!
Restarting /sbin/init.d/psd-watch

    Hi Thomas, 

    psd-watch is the programm which monitors the portscan detection logfile and send an email notification if a portscan is detected.

    To make sure this programm is always running, it is monitored by our selfmonitoring daemon wich starts it if it isn't running.

    psd-watch has no impact with the smtp proxy, except it uses the MTA do send email.
