SO I got an e-mail today from DynDNS, notifying me that they are ending their free DNS name service, which I use for my UTM.
So, I am wondering what kinds of pain I will have to endure when I change my DNS name to one of the free supported ones that UTM is able to update automatically. [:)] I've never had to change the DNS name I use, and was annoyed about them not automatically updating the DNS, which broke the UTM auto update - so this just gave me the push to just dump them completely.
I use the DNS name obviously on the UTM host name areas, VPN for just myself when I am remote to gain access to my NAS, and I have no mass users to think about to change the VPN client.
As far as the configuration though - am I going to have to wipe my UTM and start from scratch on a new configuration? I know that changing the system DNS host name will change any certificates, etc. but I would really prefer that I not have to redo my configurations that I have already in the UTM, and a restore will just bring my DNS name and certs back into the UTM.
