[9.104-17][BUG] Unable to update IP via FreeDNS

Hello, 

I tried to configure my FreeDNS account in my astaro box. But it seems as if it doesn't work. 
This is what the GUI says: 
DynDNS status is: An update attempt is in progress.

DynDNS modified: Thu Jan 1 01:00:00 1970


And this is what the logfiles say: 
2013:07:01-19:07:41 Iceman ddclient[8857]: WARNING:  file /var/cache/ddclient/ddclient.cache, line 3: Invalid Value for keyword 'ip' = ''

2013:07:01-19:07:42 Iceman ddclient[8857]: FAILED:   Could not get freedns update URLs from freedns.afraid.org


It's the same as here: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/68/t/61672

I double-checked the settings and my username and password. 

How can I get this to work?
I am running a software appliance with 9.102-8

    About the mail spam:
    The asia.secureserver.net are the servers of godaddy where I host one of my emails.
    You can send to my private exchange to Gil.peled@aradtec.com a maybe it will arrive.

    Hello everyone and a special one to BAlfson ,

    After a trio week ( Sophos support , Bob and me ).
    We got the FreeDns working perfect.
    First I wona give a great thanks to Bob that gave the support access to his system to check it .
    After a research we found that the SHA string returns by FreeDns to the UTM was not the the one it should return.
    after we discovered that Bob figured out that only if lowercase are used then it works OK.
    The issue is that even entering a name in FreeDns with uppercase it will consider it as lowercase , but if the user in the UTM is with uppercase then it sends it with uppercase and then the SHA string that returns is wrong.
    So the good news , FreeDns is working with one condition ! No uppercase or special characters .

    Once again , lots of thanks to Bob that accepted my request to give the guy from the support of Sophos am in touch with , the access to his systems to find the root case of the FreeDns issue.

    Yikes.  Lowercase passwords and usernames, huh?  A tricky one to find - well done guys.  Mine is working now with that fix.  Cheers.

    Great to hear it is working for you .
    I was asked by the support to inform about that here in the UBB. ( what I already did :-) )

    So I repeat :
    DO NOT UPPERCASE IN  USER AND PASSWORD ONLY LOWERCASE.


    There is a bug open on that now.
    But for now just fallow those instructions and it will work .

    just to clarify. The upper case problem only exits for the username not for the password.

    You can use upper cases in the password. And I think you can use special charakters too in the password.

    Please don't start to use weak passwords.

    Just enter your username with lower cases in the webadmin.

    GMF, how did you get the ddclient to NOT find your public IP by calling dyndns.org?

    Will be fixed in upcoming v9.106.
