No reporting or backups

I've got a UTM9 that's stopped sending executive reports and email backups.  The email backups are creating OK (can see them in the web admin), but there are no archived executive reports at all.  Trying to send a backup manually also fails to send.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

  • Open Mail Manager and look on the 'SMTP Spool' tab.  If there's anything there, then open the SMTP Live Log and Retry to deliver one of the emails.  What do you see in the log?

  • Hmm, I'm getting a "bounced" error. Yet the email address is valid - I just sent a test email to confirm.
  • Please post the lines from the Live Log for one Retry as suggested above.

    Thanks for your help!  With your guidance I found that my ISP was blocking port 25 (something I already knew... but it didn't click until I saw the SMTP live log!).  I've configured a smarthost for SMTP now and I'm receiving emails again.
