additional address

creativity
additional address, i can specify a different subnet, and they will not have not any relation to each other, but simply pass through the same physical interface?
for example:
192.168.1.10 and 192.168.100.12?

    What are you trying to accomplish?  Maybe you can just create a host definition without putting the IP on the Internal interface.

    Sounds like VLAN. Setup your switch with tagged ports to VLAN 1 and VLAN2.

    Setup your Astaro Interface as VLAN Interface. With VLAN ID 1 for the first IP and VLAN ID 2 for the second one.

    at present no problems, but there are ideas
    unmanaged switch can allow any IP addresses not only the same subnet
    and if in the computer network card is not enough, so, to get the necessary topology, and I thought about the additional address, but the tall tale is sure that each network will have no relationship to each other

    I see.  Remember that WebAdmin automatically creates routes for the primary networks connected to the Astaro.  If you add an Additional Address outside the subnet of the primary IP, you will need to create your own routing.

    I usually only put additional addresses on an interface for use in a NAT rule, but I'd be interested to hear others' creative ideas.

    For example, I had the idea to connect the wireless router to Astaro, which would provide a secure wireless connection.
    to Astaro, I have three network cards, not more slots.
    two external and one internal interface
    I want to be that the wireless router and the internal network have different IP address for greater security that would  maybe hacked the router, does not know real the internal IP and for the different access policies, such as internal network was transparent mode and access through a wireless router has a transparent mode with the Authentication [8-)]

    example:
    astaro --> internal (192.168.1.10) + additional address (84.94.12.54) --> switch--> computers (192.168.1.x)
    .........................................................................................................\--> router (84.94.12.54) --> WIFI
    what do you think?)

    this is just an example, my question was, whether additional addresses from different subnets will not affect the operation of the primary address ?

    I think that might work.  Please tell us the results of your experiment.

    In any case, it can't disrupt the primary address, routing of the main subnet or anything I can think of.
