About your LM Subscription

Hi All

I have received an email today saying that my LM subscription will be deleted cause is not in use. I haven't changed any of my configuration since being on the beta forum. 

My subscription is : lm-70fc173a

    When was the last time that you logged into the LM site?  You need to log into it every so often or they will delete the subscription.

    I didn't know that was a requirement. According to the email I've received : 

    "We have noticed that your account (lm-70fc173a) has not received any new logs during the past 14 days"

    Are you seeing something like "syslog-ng[5955]: Syslog connection failed; fd='79', server='AF_INET(127.0.0.1:10100)', error='Connection refused (111)', time_reopen='60'" in the System Message Log?  I'm seeing this fairly frequently, where the ASG can't send logs to the LM logs anymore.  Disabling, then re-enabling LM seems to fix it.

    While it's in Technical Preview and free, I think that they are trying to keep the system from getting overloaded with people giving it a quick look, then forgetting about it.

    yes I have multiple such entries. I will disable and re enable LM to see if the problem is fixed

    There is no requirement to log into the Log Management portal at regular intervals. However, we do crawl the accounts to see if there are unused accounts where we have not seen new log data for more than 2 weeks. 

    We do this to reduce the cost of the tech preview for people who enabled Log Management in their ASG and then never touched it again - or who disabled it and forgot about it.
