Can't create definition with IP matching interface

I'm trying to create a host definition with an IP that matches one of the interface's IPs.  It won't let me do this and give an "invalid object parameter" error.  I'm mainly doing this for consistency between devices and I'd like to deploy the definition through ACC.  Is this by design?

    You shouldn't need a host definition.  You should use the "Internal (Address)" object, for example.  Or, have I misunderstood what you're trying to accomplish?

    I agree, but I'd like the naming to be consistent across all devices.  On the local device this works, but on remote devices their "Internal (Address)" is obviously relative to that device.

    This was intended to help with VPN deployment from the ACC, but I just realized that I don't need to create these custom hosts...so never mind.  The ACC automatically picks up the interface IP's in the VPN wizard.  Thanks for the response.
