Astaro doesnt update dhcp on WAN interface

Hi,

My ISP decided to change my ip address last night, however my astaro firewall keeps remembering the old ip and wont update to the new ip. 

I have tested this by connecting my laptop directory to my cable modem, and i see what new ip address i get. When i connect my astaro he will simply use the old info given to it during the install, ive tried rebooting it serveral times (with interface enabled and disabled), also tried the renew button .. nothing works.

Any tips for me ?

    sadly not for me ..

    I have looked at the system log and did a renew on the IP, this is what i saw : (emagine 1.1.1.1 is my old ISP ip, 2.2.2.2 is isp's dhcp server)

    2010:05:08-10:23:15 butterfly dhcpcd[5154]: sending DHCP_REQUEST for 1.1.1.1to 2.2.2.2
    2010:05:08-10:23:15 butterfly dhcpcd[5154]: dhcpIPaddrLeaseTime=560197 in DHCP server response.

    2010:05:08-10:23:15 butterfly dhcpcd[5154]: DHCP_ACK received from (2.2.2.2) 

    When i shut down the interface and start it again i see : 
    2010:05:08-10:26:03 butterfly dhcpcd[11907]: broadcasting DHCP_REQUEST for 1.1.1.1

    From my point of view, its askign for its old ip back, not asking for a new ip which i think it should do. Strangly enough it does seem to get his old ip, however what strikes me as wierd is that with this ziggo cable modem it usualy only accepts 1 mac address. THe one which does the dhcp request 1st gets the ip, if you connect another pc/laptop whatever to it you will have to restart the modem for the other pc to get the ip. THat being said, i have had the modem restarted, connected to the astaro, did the above dhcp actions and when that didnt work i connected my laptop to the modem and i got the new ip directly.. asif the astaro never really did request any ip.

    Hopefully you have some more tips ?

    If it helps, this is also what mine has done. The ip changed and asg didn't update. I reinstalled astaro and restored my config. Somewhere along the line its ip request for my previous ip address was successful. I am up and running, albeit on my old ip. I guess I was just lucky the request was successful and the isp had not already reassigned it.
    I will try to update this thread in a few weeks to confirm whether the next change is successful.
    Did you try reinstalling? I know it sounds overkill but really doesn't take too long if you've backed up your config.

    But .. i am really hoping to get some other answer .. i mean .. reinstalling the whole thing ? .. that cant be correct. If im aparently not the 1st person to have this problem, it looks to me there is some error in the software that needs to be fixed imho..
