Need some clarifications on multiple external adresses

Our ISP supply us with a subnet:

***.***.***.160 - ***.***.***.167

They use ***.***.***.161 as the default gateway, and we use ***.***.***.162 as the primary IP.

How do you configure this in ASG?

    Hi, set Astaro's External address as .162.

    If needed, then you can create new virtual interfaces as 'additional IP addresses' on the External interface, and DNAT incoming traffic as needed.

    Yes, that was my understanding. Do I set my .162 address with mask /29 or /32?

    And do I add addresses one by one or can I add the whole range?

    The mask on the External interface must be broad enough for your IP to "see" your default gateway, which, in your case is indeed /29.

    When additional addresses are put on the interface, you'll add them one-by-one with /32.

    Thanks! That was what I needed to know.

    We also have two other IP ranges that points to us over the same interface. .97/28 and .225/28

    Those I've added as whole IP-ranges as additional addresses, and it seems to work. But is that the right way to do it?

    Hi, you might want to use the other two networks internally, in which case you'd assign them to a LAN or DMZ, and then Astaro would route the traffic to them, assuming the ISP is routing them to your .162 IP.

    If not, then additional addresses on EXT is probably fine.
