Ha active-passive

Hello all,

I've installed an Active-passive cluster.

So on my first node i can see :" Node 1, master, active"

On my second node i see : "Node 2, slave, active"

I'm in active-passive mode... Is it normally that my second node diplay "Active" ?

    Your question is confusing.  In Astaro, "Cluster" means an "Active-Active" setup, and "Hot Standby" means "Active-Passive."  If you set the Astaro HA in "Cluster" mode, you are in "Active-Active" mode.

    On the 'Configuration' tab of 'Management >> High Availability', which 'Operation mode' is shown?

    Hello, and thanks for your reply. The value is hot-standby, and i want active-passive mode. So on my two nodes i can see "active".

    Do you think is normal ?

    This is correct.  In hot-standby mode, the Master continuously updates the "passive" device.

    Look on the last tab of High Availability to see whether you are in cluster or hot standby mode. Also if your license doesn't specify more than one node then you can't go into cluster active-active mode.
