As always you are the first to answer. I know how to reset via command line, the problem is that our server (Astaros) are distributed over the states and there are two end users working there but of course we cant ask them to do that first because they have no knowledge at all and second because they are like I said end-users. [:(]

Rafael, if you can get one of them to load an unencrypted backup file on the Astaro then power it off and on, the Astaro will load the backup.

Then again, I just assumed that you couldn't login to WebAdmin.  Was that a correct assumption?

Prior to V7.400, there were problems in several places with special characters.  For example, German letters with an umlaut caused problems.  Is that perhaps your issue?

Yes, your assumption is correct, this user I am trying to create cant login to WebAdmin.
German letters...wow, never imagined that but I dont think that´s the issue because it´s portuguese-brazilian.
And if it was the last option you said, that user wouldnt be able to login on that Astaros that we have recently formated which are in a older version.

The Astaro backup is not of a prior version; it is only a configuration backup.  Restoring a backup from yesterday, for example, serves only to undo any configuration changes made since the backup.  None of the data in the logs or queues is affected, nor are any of the progams.  This technique is the easiest way to undo a change/error that has locked you out of WebAdmin.

If you use Á, Â, Ã, À, Ç, É, Ê, Í, Ó, Ô, Õ or Ú, you might experience the "special character" problem; I don't recall the version(s) affected by that.

I haven´t used any accents, tildes and neither one of that chacacters that Balfson wrote.
Restore a backup wont change anything in this because there were made no changes at the Astaro and the user is a new one.

Rafael, if you are unable to get into the Astaro, then something has happened even if you didn't make a change.  If you can't restore from a backup as I suggested, then your only alternative is to reload from scratch.

For anyone else who happens by here, we configure every installation to send daily, unenecrypted backups both to the admin and to our email archive.  That ensures the least disruption even if it does waste a little disk space.

Ohh...well that´s a lack of luck...
These Astaros send us weekly backups by email too but we cant even imagine when this issue started because that´s a new user and the others were created when it was on the first version.
