[7.007] No more email notifications

Our SG120 does not send notifications any more. Everything worked fine until the sending of notifications by email suddenly stopped. The notifier.log says

notifier[4827]:  WARN: #-- Failed: could not send notification: File exists!

Therefore I think this is not a problem with the smtp engine.
Doeas anyone have clue how to get notifications work again?

  • No, there was no entry at the exim.log. Seems like the message was not even delivered to the smtp service. I tried to find out by logging in with a wrong passwort and only found the error in the notifier.log.

    Surprisingly I received a status report this morning and notifications seem now to be working again. I wonder what happens to the firewall since I changed nothing the last few days. I'll keep an eye on this and tell if the problem comes back.
