Configuring incomping email spam filter

Currently, I have about 10 domains. Since my ISP is blocking port 25, I have a service that receives my mail, and sends it to me on port 2525. I would like to configure Sophos to intercept incoming mail on port 2525, scan for spam/virus, and send it along to my internal mail server (hmailserver). Is this possible? Can I change the SMTP ports?

    I would think you could use 'DNAT : Internet -> {port 2525} -> External (Address) : change to {port 25}'.  See #2 in Rulz to understand why I suggest this.  Any luck with that?

    How do you have the mail server configured for outbound mail?

    I checked, and realized I already have that DNAT rule. Is there a way to verify that the UTM is processing mail? I checked the statistics, but they were all zero. I have no experience with the UTM handling mail, other than the DNAT rule.

    Sending mail is done normally by the server. I know there's a risk my mail might get marked as spam by someone, but I've run it over 10 years without a known problem.

    I bet your current NAT rule is not as I suggested, but more like 'DNAT : Internet -> {port 2525} -> External (Address) : change to {Mail Server internal IP} on {port 25}'.  Again, #2 in Rulz explains why I guess this.

    So, your mail server sends mail directly to your smarthost?  Although you may not be running Exchange, Exchange with SMTP Proxy would probably help you understand how to send it via the SMTP Proxy.

    Yes, you are right. I am forwarding to the IP of the mail server. Should I set it to the IP of the UTM? Some other setting?

    Just change the Service to SMTP and leave 'Destination translation' blank.  Check #5 in Rulz.

    Have you found the answer to this problem?  I have this same setup currently working in my home. I too am getting mail on port 2525. LMK if you need help as mine has been working for over three years.
