[8.300] [resolved]Unable to upload pgp for internal user

Hi All

I am trying to upload a new pgp to my internal user and I am getting the following error "Cannot create email encryption user object: either key is invalid or requires a password."

The asc file is in the format

-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32)

******************
-----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----

------BEGIN PGP PRIVATE KEY BLOCK-----
Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32)

*********************************
-----END PGP PRIVATE KEY BLOCK-----

The name/email address is correct and I have also tried to remove the user and re add it.

Any suggestions?

Does it work correctly if you delete the user on the 'Internal Users' tab? If you want to retain the user's cert, you can export/import it.

I've tried to delete the user and re add it with no luck. It works for the certificate but not for pgp. One difference I've noticed is that the one generated by astaro is version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) whereas the one I am trying to upload is : GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32)

If I download the pgp and upload it again it works fine. The key I am trying to upload is 2048 RSA key. Should it only be DSA?

I am comparing the two keys via notepad++ and the format is the same...

nothing new from my side. Not sure what else to try since the format seems to be correct

Opnpgp key uploaded shouldn't not have passphrase associated in order to be successfully uploaded to ASG/UTM
