R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host

Hi,

since a long time with no problems...here's another problem :-)

It driving me nuts, we try to sent a mail from our company to a special host and the mails are not going out. They stay in the queue and could not be delivired.

from the live log: R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host

funnily enough they can send us mails.

I flushed the DNS cache, no effect. Version of the Firewall ist 7.510.

What elso can I do?

    Hi, Gearloose,

    Maybe you could post the complete line and other lines that relate to the same email.

    What is this "special host"?  If it's an external SmartHost, then the settings are made at the bottom of the 'Advanced' tab.

    I also testet dnslookup but i everythink is ok. DNS resolves the PTR of the Mailserver. I talked to the Deutsche Telekom Business Support for CompanyConnect if there ara any problems. They found nothing.

    Ok i think "special host" was wrong. We don't use a smarthost. We only want to sent an email to another company. They are using a barracuda firewall.

    Heres the the SMTP log...
