Problem receiving Mail with Exchange 2010

As a quick check, I tried to touch your box, mail.securedc.com, and got a error page from H-Sphere. 
 
You must have just changed your public DNS record. Public DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to propogate throughout the internet and until this process makes it's way out there, nobody will be able to find your box. They will still only see your old MX record..
 
Most businesses wait until the weekend or a 3 day holiday weekend to make public DNS changes for this reason.  Another helpful tip is several days before your planned dns change, lower the TTL of records that you anticipate changing.

The domain I am trying to use is different than my current mail domain.

mail,gbcollects.info is the domain that points to the Astaro. I am using this as a test domain until I get everything worked out.

You've got an A record, but no MX yet. It'll take time for it to propogate. You'll also want to get with your ISP about creation of rDNS records so that you don't run afoul of anti-spam techniques that check for this.

I adjusted our MX record and it now resolves, but I still can't receive e-mail from that account.

You did add your email domain into the SMTP profile and create a packet filter rule to allow SMTP traffic, correct?

I am not having any problems sending just receiving, isn't that POP3?

Between client and server, yes. But here we are talking others sending email to you, so server to server.  I'm going to guess that if you went through the PF log, you'd find a ton of blocked packets on port 25.

SMTP is used for sending email between email servers, and when sending email from your client program. POP3 is only used for pulling email down from your server to your email client.

As an example, when I sent email from my work domain, @dawcon.com to my personal email, @telus.net, the following three exchanges happen.

Outlook --> @dawcon.com - SMTP
@dawcon.com --> @telus.net - SMTP
@telus.net --> Outlook - POP3

POP3 or IMAP (or MAPI & RPC/HTTP for exchange/outlook) are only used for the last leg of the trip. Everything else is run over the SMTP protocol.

Now as far as configuring Astaro, you have two options. If you want Astaro's spam filtering capability (and you have a license for it) you can use the SMTP Mail proxy under "Mail Security." The other option would be to setup a Destination NAT (DNAT) entry under "Network Security" for your server.

My personal preference is to use the smtp proxy as it's easily as functional as anything you can purchase that bolts onto Exchange, and far simpler to configure IMO.
