Three days ago my prefetch stopped working. Looking at the log I find:
2010:09:29-14:25:35 ASLVM pop3proxy[22257]: Database error: ERROR: index row size 3164 exceeds maximum 2712 for index "q_subject"
2010:09:29-14:25:35 ASLVM pop3proxy[22257]: Can't insert mail uid 1p0cl5Qo3Nl3qa0 into database
This problem stops all further email from being prefetched. After removing the offending message using a webmail account, I found several others causing the same problem. Can the subject be truncated rather than causing an error in the pop3proxy?
The spam message it is stopping on has a subject 10000 characters long, little wonder it fails:
