Is there a way to configure ASG v7/8 to act as a passby device rather than a pass-through. In other words (just to use spam filtering feature) ...
Email comes to pulic address
DSL Router (NAT) passes SMTP traffic to Private IP (of ASG)
ASG gets the message - spam filters - passes to email server on the same network
so the ASG has only one card connected to 192.168.1.253
DSL Router LAN IP 192.168.1.254
Email (exchange) Server 192.168.1.200
I realize that if one side of ASG is connected to WAN and the other to LAN this works (pass through), I wondering about ASG wotking strictly in LAN environment. I know Barracuda Spam filter can be configured either as passby or passthrough. I prefer to use Astaro however, Thanks.
