Missing Time in Log-email not sent

Hi,
I've been notified by a few of our users that the messages they sent were never delivered.  I checked the logs on the email server and saw where they came in from the client and were forwarded off to the Astaro box (ASG320 7.505).  Then I went looking at the smtp log on the Astaro box for that particular day - surprisingly for about 21 minutes there are no entries.  Which is disturbing, becasue this box always has some activity even if it is spam, etc.  So those emails are lost, were not delivered and do not show up in the log.

Is there somewhere else (Log,etc) that I can look to find out has happened?  I'm told that this has happened a few times (not by the log but now that the users are complaining).

Kevin

  • It just isn't reasonable that the Astaro would lose emails unless there's a hardware problem and/or the system has become corrupted, so I don't think you'll get anything out of the logs.
