SMTP transparent proxy not working

I'm using DynDNS on my mail server, I can send and receive emails from the Internet, I also can activate the POP3 proxy and it can stop spam, however when I try to use the transparent SMTP proxy I stop receiving emails, I tried to route the mail to the static IP address of my mail server....I'm using ASG220.

Can any one help me with this?

  • I don't have "transparent" mode for SMTP activated anywhere - I don't understand why it's causing the issue you describe - perhaps someone else can tell us - I would say you should leave transparent unselected.

The only reason I can imagine being in transparent mode is that you have unexpected SMTP traffic that you want to allow.  Other than that, just leave it off.
