Spam filter can't reach database servers after upgrade to 7.5

I have this same issue.

"The spam filter daemon is unable to reach the database servers via HTTP. Please make sure that the device is able to send HTTP (TCP port 80) requests to the Internet. You may have to allow such traffic on upstream devices."

I get the hourly email saying the exact same thing,  Astaro is the only filtering on the network.  Is it blocking itself? 

Wait, I do use OpenDNS to filter also. Do you think OpenDNS is blocking. 
What is the are the database servers domain so i can set OpenDNS to allow, if that is the case.

Are you running in High Availability mode, with a Master and a Slave?

Are you having any other issues?

If running in HA mode, it looks like a the victim of a know issue where the upgrade to 7.5 makes Astaro think it is running in Cluster mode.

Pulling the power cable out of my Slave machine fixed this problem for me.

I think I found out why.  I went to my OpenDNS account setting and several domains were being blocked.  The top 6 were: (How many requests blocked)

I assume that all the ctmail.com domains are the spam database locations.  I had blocked these a year ago because of all of the request going out to them and a lot of talk on the internet about spam realy.  It has never caused a problem before 7.5.  Maybe that is  why we were still getting spam before.

Does Astaro contact Akamai also.  It was block on OpenDNS last year also for the same reason.  Do I need to Unblock Akamai?

Have upgraded to 7.501 and the problems persists.

Why would the slave be trying to connect - it is a High Availability setup - ie only the master is active.

James, if you're in "Hot standby" mode, that's right, but if you're in "Cluster" mode, the slave might well be given this task by the master.  If that HA problem wasn't fixed in your system by the upgrade to 7.501, then it's time for an Astaro trouble ticket.
