7.011 SMTP error from remote mail server, MySql connection failed

After I powered up the firewall due to a power failure in the area i live, and it starts collecting the e-mails from the MX Backup I have I get a lot of errors in the SMTP log file:


2008:01:15-20:32:20 (none) exim[9644]: 2008-01-15 20:32:20 1JEr5F-0002uo-Ex == ***@***.com R=cff_route T=cff_smtp defer (-46): SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: host 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1]: 451 MySql connection failed

I also have this in the SMTP proxy log:

Just logged on to the server, and mysql is not running. I am also not able to start/restart it.

Resulting that the e-mails don't get delivered.
Can anyone tell me what is happening? Are the e-mails lost?
I have restarted the firewall with the same results.

    Updated the firewall to 7.100, still the same problem after reboot. Mysql service didn't start. Updated then to 7.101 and suddenly everything is working again, strange. Mysql is now up and running.

    Next time try to restart the SMTP proxy (turn off, wait 2 minutes, turn proxy on).

    Had to restart the firewall again, and now (again) the mysql service will not start. I have tried to restart the SMTP proxy as given above, restartet the server numerous times. The mysql service will just not start/restart. It dosn't say why it will not start, so it is a bit hopeless.

    I think I have approx. 150-200 mails that's one the firewall and has not been delivered to the mailserver. Where are these mails stored on the firewall? Is there a way to release/deliver these mails without a working mysql service?

    Seems that I have to re-install the astaro firewall, but I don't want to loose these mails. Some of them are a bit important.
